Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Post Doctoral Fellowship Program should possess a strong academic background and research experience in the relevant field. Applicants must have:

A Ph.D. degree from a recognized University or Institution.
Consistently good academic record throughout their career.
Research publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
Knowledge and expertise in the proposed area of research.
Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply, subject to submission of proof before joining.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

The applicant should be an Indian citizen.
The maximum age limit shall be as per Government norms at the time of application.
Candidates must demonstrate independent research capability.
Preference may be given to candidates having prior research/project experience.
The proposed research work should align with the objectives and research areas of the institution.

Hostel, Health & Campus Life

Yes. IPR provides on-campus hostel accommodation to all PhD students subject to availability. Separate hostels for male and female students are available. Nominal charges apply.

IPR students are covered under the Central Health Service Scheme (CHSS). A medical officer is available on campus. IPR also has tie-ups with nearby hospitals in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad for specialist consultations.

IPR has a subsidised canteen serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available. Students can also access the nearby Gandhinagar facilities.

Campus facilities include: sports complex (badminton, TT, cricket), library with digital access, Wi-Fi throughout campus, seminar halls, guest house for family visits, banking facility, and regular cultural and academic events.
